That the Parliament congratulates Paws on Plastic, which is a community-led environmental group based in Stonehaven, on receiving The King’s Award for Voluntary Service; believes that the award, which is the highest given to volunteer groups across the UK, is equivalent to an MBE and reflects the exceptional commitment, dedication and impact of its volunteers; notes that the founder and current chair of Paws on Plastic received the award on behalf of the group from the Lord-Lieutenant of Kincardineshire; commends Paws on Plastic for its work in dealing with plastic pollution, protecting the environment and promoting responsible waste reduction in communities; acknowledges the organisation’s success in engaging volunteers, schools and the wider public in environmental action; believes that this prestigious honour highlights the importance of grassroots initiatives in addressing environmental challenges, and wishes Paws on Plastic, and all involved with it, every success in their continued work.
