Netherlee Takeaway Wins Fish and Chips Award

That the Parliament offers its congratulations to CATCH Fish & Chips in Netherlee for its inclusion in the list of top 50 UK takeaways; understands that CATCH has been named as one of the best fish and chip shops across the UK at the Fry Awards for 2026; recognises that the Fry Awards celebrate excellence in fish and chips throughout the country, and that 2026 is the 14th year of the competition; acknowledges that unannounced visits take place to determine which businesses will be formally recognised for excellence; understands that takeaways are rated on the quality of meals, cleanliness, staff knowledge, value for money, ease of placing an order, and social media activity; further understands that takeaways had to receive a score of 97% to appear in this year's top 50 fish and chip shops; notes that CATCH and all other winners will receive a plaque in recognition of their place in the top 50 to put on display, and commends the Netherlee-based fish and chip shop for the outstanding food that it serves to customers.
