That the Parliament celebrates the success of Casey Gardner, from Glenrothes, on being named Apprentice of the Year by Persimmon Homes North Scotland: understands that the company has honoured Casey for her outstanding skill, dedication and contribution to the team; applauds that just seven months into her painting and decorating apprenticeship, she had already won two Scottish competitions, represented the business at the national Painting and Decorating Association Finals and received the Apprentice of the Year award at The Courier Business Awards; recognises that Casey has mentored fellow apprentices across Scotland, shared her story to inspire future tradespeople, promoted construction careers to young people and helped to restore the Links Market Hobby Horse in Kirkcaldy; believes that Casey exemplifies skill, professionalism and leadership, is a trailblazer for women in construction encouraging others to consider a career in the sector, and is a thoroughly deserving winner, and extends its very best wishes to Casey on the rest of  her construction journey.
