That the Parliament welcomes the news that the East Lothian-based Aviation Preservation Society of Scotland (APSS) has been recognised with the Organisation of the Year Award at Aviation Heritage UK’s recent AGM at the Rolls-Royce Heritage Centre in Derby; understands that the Aviation Heritage awards are given to recognise a deserving individual, group, lifetime achievement and triumph in innovation, and that the APSS award was made in recognition of the group’s outstanding work on its 24-year project to build a replica Sopwith 1 1/2 Strutter First World War biplane; congratulates all those involved in the APSS and Strutter project, and wishes them further success with their next construction project and wider activities.
