That the Parliament congratulates Talking is Mental on winning the Self Management in the Community category at the Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland’s Self Management Awards 2025; understands that Talking is Mental is a community interest company that was established to address social isolation and loneliness in Glasgow, following the founders’ experiences during and after the COVID-19 pandemic; further understands that Talking is Mental offers free and low-cost structured activities, including groups for football, walking and theatre, which allow people to make connections with likeminded individuals; recognises the importance of social connection to supporting mental health, and celebrates the positive impact that the project has had on participants.
