Celebrating The Tall Ship Glenlee Winning Best Visitor Attraction Award

That the Parliament congratulates the Tall Ship Glenlee on being named best visitor attraction at the 2025 West of Scotland Thistle Awards; recognises what it sees as the ship’s outstanding contribution to Glasgow’s cultural and tourism landscape, noting its vital role in local regeneration and its ongoing community collaborations; acknowledges that Glenlee, as a rare example of a Clyde-built sailing ship and one of only five of its kind still afloat in the world, serves not only as a visitor attraction but also as a museum, learning centre and community hub, welcoming over 100,000 visitors each year; notes the dedication and hard work of the staff, volunteers and community partners who ensure visitors enjoy memorable and world-class experiences; understands that this award reflects the team's commitment to preserving Scotland’s maritime heritage and to fostering education, engagement and enjoyment for people of all ages, and recognises the importance of such accolades in promoting excellence, innovation and collaboration within Scotland’s tourism and hospitality sector.
