That the Parliament congratulates Heather McCann, of Heather McCann Music, on her successful grant application to the Eilidh MacLeod Memorial Trust; recognises that Eilidh’s Trust was established in honour of Eilidh MacLeod, a young woman from the Isle of Barra with a passion for music, who sadly lost her life during the Manchester Arena attack in May 2017; celebrates that Eilidh’s Trust enables young people and children to continue Eilidh’s passion for music by providing support for them to advance their music education; notes that the Trust has issued 200 small grants since 2018, allowing over 2,000 children and young people in Scotland to grow and nurture their musical talents, and congratulates Heather McCann, a local piano and music theory teacher, on her receipt of further funding from the Trust to aid in her delivery of a free five week music programme for children during the summer.
