That the Parliament congratulates Lar Housing Trust on its success over the last 10 years in providing quality housing at affordable prices to hardworking tenants who may otherwise be struggling to survive in the private rented sector; believes that entities such as Lar Housing Trust are crucial in addressing the housing emergency that is blighting so many communities across Scotland; commends the project based at Port Edgar for sustainably redeveloping the former naval barracks into sorely needed new housing, without impacting on the greenbelt, and supports the innovative and proven financial model that has enabled Lar Housing Trust, with a low-interest loan from the Scottish Government, to deliver on its promises and objectives.
