That the Parliament pays tribute to community stalwart, Ivor McClure, of Lennoxtown in the Strathkelvin and Bearsden constituency, who sadly passed away on 18 September 2025; expresses heartfelt gratitude for Ivor’s tireless efforts over many years to make life better for people throughout East Dunbartonshire, volunteering in multiple environmental projects, including being the driving force behind Lennoxtown Environmental Group, which led to him being named East Dunbartonshire Sustainable Champion in the 2024 Provost Community Champion awards; further expresses gratitude for Ivor’s work as a member, volunteer and for serving on the board of trustees with Group Recovery Aftercare Service (GRACE), which is based in Kirkintilloch, and provides a safe space to support anyone who has experienced life trauma; understands that Ivor actively promoted the ways in which the environment can have a positive effect on mental health; recognises that, as a founding member of Friends of Campsie High Kirk, Ivor was instrumental in helping to shape the vision for the Kirk’s regeneration; offers its sincere condolences to Ivor’s family and many friends, and sends every kind wish of comfort to all those whose lives Ivor touched in the constituency of Strathkelvin and Bearsden and beyond.
