Fife Gingerbread Family Approach Shortlisted for Prestigious Regeneration Award

That the Parliament congratulates Fife Gingerbread on its Family Approach project being shortlisted in the Removing Barriers to Employability category of the 2025 SURF Awards for Best Practice in Community Regeneration; recognises that these awards, which are delivered in partnership with the Scottish Government, celebrate best practice, innovation and achievement in initiatives that improve communities across Scotland; notes that the Family Approach project provides flexible, relationship-based, whole-family support tailored to the needs of some of Fife’s most vulnerable households, including parenting guidance, wellbeing, housing support, education assistance, money advice and employability skills; recognises what it sees as the valuable role that projects such as this play in removing barriers to work, building confidence and supporting regeneration in socially and economically challenged communities; commends SURF for highlighting the project's achievements, and sends Fife Gingerbread, and all shortlisted organisations, its best wishes ahead of the 2025 SURF Awards presentation event on 4 December.
