That the Parliament condemns reports that the UK Labour administration's Chancellor of the Exchequer is set to impose the standard 20% VAT rate on all taxi fares; believes that, if introduced, this will kill the taxi trade, will adversely affect poorer, disabled and older people and will increase poverty, social isolation and loneliness, and calls on the UK Government and Parliament to reject the Chancellor’s proposal.
