Congratulating Robert Harper on 49 Years of Service and Conservation Awards

That the Parliament congratulates Robert Harper on receiving both the SGA Wild Salmon Conservation award and the Ronnie Rose award for Conservation and Education; recognises his dedication to salmon conservation over a remarkable 49-year career as a ghillie; acknowledges his efforts to protect and preserve the River Dee and its endangered salmon population; commends his conservation work, including invasive species control and educational outreach through the IntroDee schools programme; notes the high regard in which he is held by colleagues, anglers, and conservationists; thanks him for his lifelong service to Scotland’s rivers, and wishes him a fulfilling and well-deserved retirement.
