To ask the Scottish Government whether it will provide an update on what Barnett consequential funding it received as a result of the UK Government’s £63 million Swimming Pool Support Fund, and how much of this has been used to support swimming pools in Scotland, broken down by local authority area.
Answer
The Scottish Government places great importance on swimming pools. They are crucial to the wellbeing of all our country and most importantly, for our children and young people to be healthy and active.
The financial package announced by the UK Government to support swimming pools in England has resulted in consequentials being added to the overall Scottish block.
We will continue to work with sportscotland, Scottish Swimming and local government partners to consider what additional support can be provided to swimming pools and the wider sport and leisure sector in Scotland. At present, no additional funding has been provided to local authorities.

To ask the Scottish Government, regarding any health and housing multi-agency meetings to manage support for trafficking survivors under sections 9 and 10 of the Human Trafficking and Exploitation (Scotland) Act 2015, what assessment template or guidance document is used in such meetings; which organisations are members of the group holding these meetings, and, for the period 1 April 2022 to 31 March 2023, how many (a) cases were assessed, (b) cases involved the transfer of accommodation support from Scottish Government-funded trafficking accommodation to Home Office asylum accommodation and (c) such transfers were to asylum accommodation in Scotland.
Answer
Since 1 April 2018, support for victims of offences under the Human Trafficking and Exploitation (Scotland) Act 2015 has been placed on a statutory footing.
Statutory support is delivered through grant awards from the Victim Centred Approach Fund to the Trafficking Awareness Raising Alliance (TARA) and Migrant Help. Support may be provided for up to 90 days, or longer in some circumstances, and can include accommodation, assistance with day to day living, medical advice and treatment including psychological help, language translation and interpretation, counselling, legal advice, help accessing other services and, if the victim wishes, repatriation.
Case assessment is part of the ongoing support function carried out by TARA and Migrant Help and as such the Scottish Government does not hold this information.
In the period 1 April 2022 to 31 March 2023, 221 individuals moved from Scottish Government-funded accommodation to Home Office asylum accommodation.
The Scottish Government does not hold sufficient data to provide the remaining information requested. This information may be held by operational partners.

To ask the Scottish Government how many Baby Boxes have been distributed in the Glasgow Kelvin constituency since the scheme began.
Answer
The Scottish Government’s universal Baby Box programme, the only one in the UK, opened for registration on 15 June 2017. Nationwide delivery of Baby Boxes began on 15 August 2017 for all babies born and resident in Scotland.
I am unable to provide the number of Baby Boxes delivered in the Glasgow Kelvin constituency area as data on the numbers of Baby Boxes distributed is recorded by Health Board area. The total number issued in the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board area up to 26 May 2023 is 64,612 Baby Boxes.

The Scottish Government is taking forward a significant programme of work to support the mental health of children and young people, including enhanced clinical and community-based support. Our targeted suicide prevention work is set out in the joint Scottish Government and COSLA suicide prevention strategy Creating hope Together , and its initial 3 year action plan . Together these programmes set a clear course of action to support new approaches and prevent suicidal behaviour in children and young people. These efforts will continue to benefit from the engagement of children and young people, including the work of the Suicide Prevention Youth Advisory Group.

To ask the Scottish Government, further to the answer to question S6W-14445 by
Neil Gray on 7 February 2023, whether it will provide an updated table, including
data for (a) 2007-08, (b) 2008-09 and (c) 2022-23.
Answer
According to data acquired directly from the Scottish Library and Information Council (SLIC), in March 2023 Aberdeen City Council closed 6 libraries, Cornhill, Cults, Northfield, Ferryhill, Woodside and Kamhill. No other Scottish Libraries have permanently closed in the last 3 reporting years.
The Scottish Government do not hold information on numbers of libraries dating back to 2007-8. The earliest information on library numbers that SLIC are able to acquire from Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountability (CIPFA) begins from 2009-10.
