To ask the Scottish Government what recent discussions it has had with Glasgow (a) City Council and (b) Life regarding the provision of capital funding for the restoration of the People’s Palace and its adjoining Winter Gardens.
Answer
The Scottish Government were approached by Glasgow Life for £4.5m funding towards the refurbishment. The request was flexible and could be split across multiple financial years with the majority of funding coming in 2027-28. The culture capital allocation is primarily focused on supporting the culture bodies which refers to Scottish Government directly funded culture and historic environment public bodies, including the care and maintenance of their historic estates. Officials will continue dialogue with Glasgow Life about the project.

To ask the Scottish Government what action it is taking to reduce the number of mixed-sex wards in the NHS.
Answer
The Scottish Government expects NHS Boards to ensure that all of their facilities comply with the guidelines and recommendations on the elimination of mixed sex accommodation which has been in place since 2005. In all new hospital developments, there should be a presumption of 100% single rooms, and where existing accommodation is being refurbished as close to 100% as possible is expected. There are limited exceptions, such as Intensive Care Units.

To ask the Scottish Government whether it will provide a breakdown of the cost to NHS boards of outsourcing (a) radiology image acquisition and (b) radiology reporting, in each of the last five years.
Answer
The Scottish Government works with Health Boards through planning to make best use of existing NHS resources and capacity, it is for Health Boards locally to determine how they use the private sector and to agree any contractual arrangements. The Scottish Government no longer provides direct funding to private providers for planned care, therefore, this information is not held.

To ask the Scottish Government how much funding it has allocated to the promotion of Scottish-landed (a) fish and (b) shellfish, in each year since 2021.
Answer
The Scottish Government promotes Scottish landed fish and shellfish through grants to Seafood Scotland from the Marine Fund Scotland.
Marine Fund Scotland awards for promotion of Scottish Seafood by year since 2021 are:
2021 £2.6m
2022 £1.92m
2023 £1.75m
2024 £1.85m
2025 £1.7m
As these funds are awarded to promote Scottish landed fish, it is not possible to split them out by fish and shellfish.
