To ask the Scottish Government what assessment it has made of the use of copper in helping to reduce the transmission of infectious diseases and limit nosocomial infectious transmission; whether it recommends copper oxide or nano-compounds for use in (a) filters, (b) face masks, (c) clothing and (d) hospital common surfaces to reduce viruses and bacterial incubation, and whether any work (i) was done before and (ii) has been done since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic to increase the use of copper in healthcare settings to help reduce the spread of respiratory viruses.
