To ask the Scottish Government when the public local inquiry regarding the proposed A9 dualling project near the Killiecrankie Battlefield will be held; what its response is to reports that Transport Scotland has not notified residents regarding this, and when the agency will issue this notification.

Draft Orders for the A9 Dualling Killiecrankie to Glen Garry project were published in November 2017. Effective engagement with affected parties is a key part of the statutory process for the project and Transport Scotland is currently negotiating with objectors to try and resolve objections where possible. Given the number of objections received it is anticipated a Public Local Inquiry will be required to consider objections received but not withdrawn. However, a Public Local Inquiry has not yet been arranged.

The arrangements for setting up and managing a Public Local Inquiry, including any relevant timescales, will be the responsibility of the Reporter(s) following appointment. The Planning and Environmental Appeals Division (DPEA) of the Scottish Government will notify those involved when an Inquiry is arranged.

To ask the Scottish Government how much it has spent on new infrastructure projects in the last year, broken down by local authority area.

The Infrastructure Investment Plan 2015 - Progress Report for 2017 and accompanying Project Pipeline were published in April 2018 and these can be found at http://www.gov.scot/Topics/Government/Finance/18232/IIP .

The following two tables contain information relating to the Scottish Government pipeline of projects which were in construction during 2017-18. These include projects with a capital value of £20 million or more where the Scottish Government has a lead role in procurement or funding. They also includes school projects which are being delivered through Scotland’s Schools for the Future Programme and those health projects being taken forward through the Scotland-wide 'hub' initiative which form part of the Scottish Government's current revenue funded £3.5 billion NPD/hub investment programme.

Projects which were operational prior to 2017-18 and those which were in development or in procurement during 2017-18 are not included. The total capital value relates to the total cost in creating the asset and includes both Scottish Government funding and any other public body contribution where relevant (e.g. Schools). For revenue funded projects which have additional associated capital funded costs, these costs have also been included within the total capital value figure. Table A includes projects relating to the schools, further education and justice sectors which are broken down by their single local authority location. Table B includes projects relating to the transport and health sectors broken down by their local authority location(s) as some of these projects cover more than local authority area.

To ask the Scottish Government what the remit is of the Scottish Exchequer Project; what resources have been allocated to it, and when the project's outputs will be published.

There is not a Scottish Exchequer project. The recent creation of the Scottish Exchequer function within the Scottish Government is a response to the continued implementation of new fiscal powers devolved to Scotland.

A new role of Director General: Scottish Exchequer has been established, and the civil service capacity of the former Directorate General Finance is being adapted and strengthened to create the Scottish Exchequer to meet the changing needs of the Scottish Government.

Drug Related Deaths are recorded and reported by the National Records of Scotland (NRS). NRS report on Drug Related Deaths by age group and include age groups of ‘14 and under’ and ‘15-24’. The most recent data are published on the NRS website at the following link.
