Answer
The Scottish Executive remainscommitted to the policy of job dispersal. Dundee City has benefited from the location of over 130 posts underour relocation policy since 1999.

To ask the Scottish Executive what the average waiting time is for the NHS wheelchair service for adults, broken down by NHS board.

This information is not heldcentrally. The department continues to work closely with wheelchair service managerson further improving the service. This work should incorporate the development ofnationally consistent data collection on waiting times and other relevant Key PerformanceIndicators.

To ask the Scottish Executive what the take-up rate has been, as a percentage of those eligible, for the Minor Ailment Scheme since its launch in July 2006.

Approximately 26% of those eligibleto register for the Minor Ailment Service were registered by the 31 January 2007.

To ask the Scottish Executive what publicity campaign it has undertaken about the Minor Ailments Scheme since its launch in July 2006.
Answer
The Scottish Executive providedpatient information leaflets and posters to all community pharmacies in Scotland whenthe Minor Ailment Service was launched in July 2006. Information has also been madeavailable through NHS24 and the NHS Helpline. In addition a number of NHSboards have undertaken local promotional activities.

To ask the Scottish Executive from where it procures plasma products.
Answer
Plasma from Scotland’sblood donors has not been used to produce plasma products since 1998, due tothe risk posed by variant Creutzfeldt-Jacob Disease (vCJD).
Plasma products arepurchased by NHS National Services Scotland from a range of suppliers in Europe andthe US, who hold appropriate UK regulatory approvals for their plasma sources,manufacturing facilities and products, on a competitive tendering basis. Theseinclude:
Baxter Health Care; CSLBehring; Octapharma; Grifols; Biotest and Bio-Products Laboratory.
